Sorry for the filler update everyone. Unfortunately I had a friend of mine pass away this week, which made it a bit too difficult to get the page done in time. So super sorry for keeping you all waiting on the dramatic confrontation, but on the plus side here’s this awesome picture of Renshou by my friend Jenny of The Zombie Hunters.

Thanks for being understanding everyone. Proper updates should hopefully resume this coming Monday.

I agree with what’s been said above. Take your time.

On the other hand, from today’s image, looks like someone is about to get wammied!

I’m sorry for the loss. :(
It sounds trite but the dead are beyond caring, it is the living that suffer. I’ll be here after you’ve adjusted to the loss.

Oh, I’m so very sorry to hear of your friend’s passing. Please don’t worry about us. We know you’ll be back when you’re ready. Take your time.

…going through her head:
Darkness beyond twilight
Crimson beyond blood that flows
Buried in the flow of time
In thy great name, I pledge myself to darkness
Let all the fools who stand in our way be destroyed
by the power you and I possess…
DRAGON SLAVE!

So sorry to here about what happened to your friend. Take as much time as you need, it doesn’t bother me, I understand. Good luck in the future.

Everything ok with you, Rose?

I’m wondering this myself. It’s been 2 weeks and no word on stuff. You ok?

Sorry, for not being very communicative guys. I’m ok, basically, but I have a stomach ulcer, a stomach infection and a chest infection right now so the hiatus might drag on for a while longer. I’m pretty sure this is what zombies feel like. I complain about my health periodically on my twitter, if that helps.

Hey, this is random, but I found your webcomic on a comic site called ComicPanda under someone else’s username. http://comicpanda.com/series/69

The username also has several other comics, all with different drawing styles, so I assume it’s not you?

Thanks for the heads up – someone else on twitter just pointed it out literally ten minutes ago. You’re right, it’s not me. I’ve sent an email to ComicPanda requesting that they take it down and hopefully they’ll comply.

Honestly, I find this sort of thing really galling. I don’t think a lot of people, or perhaps even most people, understand just how much work it takes to put together a story, a comic, a website. Thousands of hours.

Perhaps even more crucially, I don’t think they understand that it’s important that it stays on my website. It’s my comic and I’m happy to provide it for free to read. Forever! But that doesn’t mean you can take it and do whatever you want with it.

The only slim income I make is from the ads on this site, which basically cover my hosting costs and not much else. That’s the only monetary reimbursement I get beyond the very occasional reader donation, which also requires them to see the donation button on my site. And stuff like this takes even that away. Thanks, jerks.

I’m still really, really sick right now, so I think I’m in a much worse mood about this than I would otherwise be, but this is my content. It’s all already available for free. Why steal it?
