I think I’m finally ready to settle on this style for the comic – it only took almost the entirety of the first chapter. Looks like super-fine inking is the way to go, even if it’s a bit more time-consuming and I hate inking with a fiery passion. It just looks nicer with the cel-shading. Sorry for all the random art-flailing, but I suspect I’m just going to keep trying out different things with the art as the comic goes on, though hopefully a bit more subtly than this scene has ended up. What a mish-mash.

    Yeah, there should be more comments here! I really like how moody this first chapter is. Most comics trying to be all heavily atmospheric just fall flat, but here it really works. Maybe it’s the continuing changes to the art style? :)
